Wayne B. Black has more than forty-five years of professional security experience in both the public and private sectors. For more than a decade, Mr. Black was the Security Advisor/PSD Lead for former Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld and the Rumsfeld Foundation.
Mr. Black routinely provides detailed threat assessments for schools, churches, synagogues, hospitals, and other public facilities. He has personally supervised protection details and special threat assignments in the United States, Central Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and South America. As a contractor for the Department of Homeland Security after the events of 9/11, Mr. Black supervised a “Red Team” conducting threat assessments at designated national security events. He routinely trains and qualifies armed private school security officers and armed house of worship security teams.
Mr. Black has been qualified to testify as an expert witness regarding security in US Federal and State courts. He is also a nationally certified firearms instructor. . Mr. Black served as a Law Enforcement Group Supervisor at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Public Corruption/Organized Crime Unit. Prior, he was assigned to the United States Justice Department’s Inter-Agency Task Force at the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) where he received numerous awards and commendations from the Department of Justice and the United States Attorney.
